Max Tenney founded Tenney Law to serve individuals and families in Central Texas during the most pivotal moments of their lives. His practice focuses on family law litigation and mediation, as well as estate planning.

Max graduated with honors from UCLA and at the top of his class from Baylor Law School. Before entering the legal profession, he built a successful career in technology and business, experience that sharpened his negotiation skills and strengthened his understanding of contracts, risk, and strategy. He ultimately chose to pursue law not for the title, but for the opportunity to serve families navigating complex and often emotionally charged circumstances.

During law school, Max served as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care and as Vice President of Baylor Law’s HEAL organization, advocating for victims of domestic violence. He also worked in estate planning and juvenile justice clinics, providing practical legal services to veterans, first responders, and families in need.

Max’s approach is grounded in purpose, structured planning, and steady persistence. He understands that family disputes and end-of-life planning are not abstract legal issues; they affect real people, real children, and real futures. His work is guided by clarity, discipline, and a commitment to serving his Texas community with integrity.

Outside the office, Max enjoys time with his beautiful wife, Ashley, and their four children, perfecting his BBQ techniques, hunting, camping, and all things sports.
